Gaurav Joined KG in 2014 after completing his master's abroad, to start a guidance counseling programme. His aim is embarked on a journey to understand relationship and life better, one day at a time.

Retreats are for more serious explorers.  Retreats include themes such as Body Scan, Mindfulness, Relationship, Communications etc.  Typically lasting for 2-days, sessions are loosely structured.  Participants have to bear their own logistics cost.

GIFTS PROGRAM

  • Gifts Program aims to connect caring individuals to those teachers trying to help their students in dire economic hardship.
  • Teachers from around 30 government schools in Kathmandu actively collaborate to identify and select the most urgent needs. 
  • We have been gifting notebooks, spectacles and dress to at least two students a day. 
  • Mid-day Meals and Stationery Campaign integrated in the Gifts Program

Fun Learning
In 2011, Atulya Pandey and Gaurav Rana came back to Nepal from their US colleges to spend their summers.  They were inspired by 'Toy from Trash' concept and innovated a practical session for children of the Education Network.

Selection Criteria 

We choose ideas based on the following merits:
1. It enables normal people to participate in change-process.
2. It addresses gaps that are not looked at by other social/political/economic organizations.
3. It has a clear 'owner' who is willing to be the change.
4. We give preference to projects in education that can complement our current project ESN. 


    I would like to sponsor meals for a time period...

    Note: We will try to hold it on the exact date. If unable, we will hold the meal session in the next available date
    Meals generally take place around 12.30 pm. We coordinate with local canteens and stores to come up with the most nutritional menu. You can attend the purchase and distribution of the meal (from 11 am - 2 pm); please manage your own transportation.

  1. Stage 1 -  Preliminary Rounds (KG Team 'sanity check', Applicant makes a Concept Memo)
  2. Stage 2 - Review Memo (SubComm review of Concept Memo, Consultative Session to develop Screening Memo).
  3. Stage 3 - SC Comments (If positive, forwarded to Mentor's Round)
  4. Stage 4 - If one Mentor accepts, Fellowship is offered.
  5. Stage 5 - Execution support towards Indicators
  6. Stage 6 - If successes, promotion and public media, for scale-up or graduation, or general public inspiration
