Children in poverty are motivated to remain in school if they have basic necessities like lunch, notebooks, uniforms etc. Teachers and volunteers identify such needs , and help raise the needed support.
Since 2005, we have been helping students in need, with small gifts of meals, stationery and clothes. With an average gift size of Rs. 750, we have helped with over 16,000 gifts. In the last decade, we channeled over Rs 100 Lakhs (USD 100K) to students in need.
Teachers of 11 government schools are attempting to help students in their schools who can't afford stationery to write on.
- In government schools many students are unable to afford the notebooks needed for their school work. We are working with circles of volunteers to identify and help such students.
- Stationery Campaign has supported 6,900+ students so far.
- All 100% of donations reach the children. Rs 3,000 provide notebooks needed for an academic year to 10 students.
Teachers from over 12 government schools act as Jury to rate the needs faced by children. Based on urgency and severity of problems, they rank where donation should be directed. You may contact these teachers directly with queries.
