Rajiya Khatun studies at Sri Tarani Vidhyalaya (Makkhan) in the second grade. There are five members in her family, including her parents and two brothers. Her father, who works hard as a plumber, is worried about how he will shield his family from the freezing temperatures this winter. He says he doesn’t even have enough money to buy each one a proper set of clothes, let alone woolens, for the approaching cold. Rajiya is a diligent student and her teachers, eager to help her, urge us to pledge Rs.400 so they can buy her a sweater. (Sweater – Rs.500)
