Anju Giri is a fifth grader studying in Shanti Sikshya Mandir, Thahiti. As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms Nima Rajbhandari, Anju stays with her parents in Inabahal. Both her parents work as street vendors. Even though they both work hard they do not earn enough to fulfill the basic requirement of the family. Anju is a hard working and obedient student says her teacher. She is loved by her teachers as she is one of the well disciplined students of her class. Anju being a determined student doesn’t come to school regularly during the winter all because her parents can’t afford to buy her sweater. So, her teacher asks to fulfill her wish to go to school wearing a sweater and keep herself warm. (Sweater- Rs 500)
