‘Innovation in Sustainability’ - TheeGo applies latest technologies and innovations towards sustainable prosperity.
"Every day we hear and learn about the most pressing problem of today’s world like climate change, environment degradation, uncontrolled population growth and their endless impacts on humanity. These problems and often referred as side products of industrialization, transportation, technological encroachment and rightly so. All of these are here to address the short term needs of people but completely eclipses their long term impact and ignores the need of sustainability. We know it is very daunting task to sacrifice the short term need and comfort for long term sustainability. Investing in innovation requires patience, focus and expertise. To achieve our goals we have ventured into generation and distribution of sustainable energy using renewable sources and techniques, introduction of clean and green electric vehicles for rental services, charging stations for electric vehicles. Thee- Go has three companies FGE, G&G and SRIBIT goal of innovation for sustainability." ![]() Mustang Trails conducts customized tours in Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and Ladakh. I must say the overall experience was very fulfilling. It has helped to reaffirm my commitment to the values of the social work profession. After joining KG, I feel more dedicated and inspired towards working for the betterment of the society. Thank you KG Nepal for the opportunities, guidance and support. ![]() KG has helped me to learn, think and feel the necessities of the society. I learned to work in group, speak in front of mass and most important thing that I understood was the small change from individuals can make change in the society. Volunteering in KG, I saw the poor students who were unable to study because they don’t have copies to write. While we were distributing them copies there was a big smile on their face which made me proud that my decision to join KG was correct. ![]() It’s been a year now that I got involved in KG. KG has provided me with ample of opportunities to explore the realities of the lives of children of a poor family and how they live with it. No sweaters to wear in the cold, no copies to write in, no proper meal any day and a lot more were the problems they had. But KG not only let me know about the existing problems, but taught me solutions how to tackle with them and the core one was ‘Be the Change’. It was actually change in us individuals/ volunteers that we were so determined to rush every morning just to distribute copies to the children (Stationery Campaign 2014) and perform campaigns to collect fund for them to distribute sweaters (Sweaters’ Campaign 2014). This change that KG has brought upon me makes me feel so proud of myself because I never knew that my little efforts could bring so true and huge smiles in the faces of those needy ones. I wish to work with KG in future too. ![]() There is no any better way to utilize your free time by engaging in social work. I started working with Kehi Garoun since 2013. It was a great experience for me, visiting schools and interacting with the students was a totally a new experience. I started off with sweater’s campaign where we provided sweaters to the needy students. After our face painting and fund raising campaign we were able generate enough funds to distribute sweaters to more than 20 government school students. It was a really proud moment we got a lot of appreciation from the local people, government schools and the youths itself. With the success and completion of sweater’s campaign it gave me even more enthusiasm to work on its next project i.e. the stationery campaign. My time here in KG has been a massive learning opportunity. I suggest people to come here and try it for yourself and feel the change in you. ![]() I have been involved in KG for around 1 year. Working in KG helped me to increase my confidence level. It is a great platform for the youngsters who want to return something to the society. I volunteered in KG for two campaigns (Happy Tummy and Stationery Campaign). Working there I came to know how government school students are unable to concentrate on their study because they don’t have copy to write. I am very thankful to KG which is doing a great job, motivating young people like us to engage in the social cause. ![]() I joined KG just to complete the mandatory hours of social work asked by my college. Social work was just an obligation. After joining and participating in activities by KG, that obligation is no more an obligation, which is now social responsibility. I get to know the other half of our Primary education system, the suffering side of Nepalese Education. I feel good to be part of KG supporting the needy children who are struggling for their primary level of education. ![]() I am a BBA student at Kathmandu University School of Management. I like to volunteer especially for social cause, and KG provided me with a great platform to be part of several of its campaign. With every campaign since 2012, I have learnt lots of things, from simple hand washing technique to sophisticated art of heeding. But above all I learnt the value of small things like books, clothes, and copies; those things which I have been taking for granted were prized items for the students. I learnt to be responsible for the things I have, and more importantly towards the society where I feel obliged to help with my volunteering work. ![]() As we live in society we have to contribute something that we can. I have been involved in KG around 1year. Volunteering in KG for different campaigns like happy tummy, sweater campaign and stationary campaign makes me feel good because I had helped the needy students and can see a smile on the faces of those kids. I am very glad to be a part of KG. ![]() I’m Ayush Manandhar. I’m from Kathmandu and I’m currently doing my Bachelors in Business Administration. I have always found it difficult to understand why there are so many problems in the world and why so little is being done to solve them. Frustrated at the lack of progress of our own country I, like many of my fellow young people,Often indulged in criticizing the “Government” and “Politicians” for what they’re doing and what they ought to do. Never once did I ever ask myself what I could do.But since joining KG’s “Stationery Campaign” program if feel like I’m contributing. Not very much maybe, but I’m still contributing. And the KG team has made me realize that every contribution counts, no matter how small. Now I have come to realize that true and sustained change can only be achieved in the society if every problem is thoroughly addressed and solved- one at a time. The “Stationery Campaign” program addresses a problem that has been so easily overlooked and I’m proud to be a part of it. ![]() I am Puja Shrestha. I am currently pursuing my BBA in Kathmandu University School of Management. Few months back if somebody had told me that the students of Kathmandu valley are not capable of affording even a simple exercise book or Rs.200 worth school sweater I wouldn’t have believed it. After I saw children writing their notes in a piece of torn paper and literally shivering in classes without sweaters during winter, I felt the change taking on me. I would like to thank Kehi Garoun for giving me this ample opportunity to explore and see things in a different approach. KG not only provided me a platform to volunteer for a social campaign but also helped me to grow and handle tricky situations. With the guidance of members of KG, I learned that to know what’s going on inside a student’s mind I need to be their friend at first and extend my friendship to them. When a student feels comfortable to open up themselves to me, it is the greatest feeling in the world. It was a wonderful experience to work with the members of KG who are all so enthusiastic and passionate at what they do and I feel proud to be a part of KG family. ![]() "My family lives in the US. My husband and I looked to work with several organizations in Nepal and were disappointed at how interests tapered off. This has not been the case with KG, where I have been involved since 2012. We visited KG's office and its activities in 2013 - it was great for me to see my daughter's energy and aspirations during those visits. KG has much to offer much to Nepali society in specific and to humankind in general. Now I am in KG for life, as it reminds me of Stephen Covery's reminder - 'Every human has four endowment - self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change'." Mahima Pant, a native of Kathmandu has lived in Virginia since 1997. She was a supervisor for a research company for 12 years before deciding to become a stay-home mum for her daughters. ![]() Uttam Sharma is an economic researcher in Australia. He is interested in fair selection process of beneficiaries. "I have been involved with KG from its founding days and helped design the selection process for the stationery campaign in 2010. I feel confident in endorsing KG for its innovation and integrity. If you are looking for a sincere social organization, look no further! " ![]() Sailesh J. Pandey is an IT professional in Toronto, Canada. "Having volunteered for 2 months during its starting days in 2005, I stumbled onto KG site in Dec 2013 and was immediately attracted by how sincerely KG had worked towards its mission over the last 8 years by creating small & incremental changes. To me KG is youthful social movement, and has much promise. I want to be a part of this movement and help anyway I can." |
