Suman Thapa Magar is a student of class 4 studying in Shree Adarsha School. He lives in Bishal Nagar. He lives with his 7 family members. His father works as labour. Suman is a brilliant student but due to poor economic condition of his parents he is not able to wear his school dress. While coming to school he wears an old pair of dress. His teacher wishes that he could wear school uniform.
(School Uniform- Rs 1250) Niraj Majhi is a second grader studying in Shanti Shikshya Mnadir, Thaiti. As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Nima Rajbhandari, Niraj is one of the hard working and deserving student. Niraj lives with his parents and five other family members. His father the only bread winner of his family works as a street vendor. Being a street vendor he doesn't earn much, also he has to fulfill the need of seven family members. Because of this his parents cannot fulfill his educational need. But Niraj being a bright and hardworking student, comes to school regularly. Seeing his condition his teacher asks our support help buy stuffs that will make him warm this winter.

Ma. Vi. (Ranibari). As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms. Shanti Pandey. Sarita stays with her parents where her father is the only bread winner. He works a laborer to fulfill his family's need. Her mother isn't much help as she is physically unwell. Sarita's father has four other children to take care of and since there is a new born in the family her mother doesnt get enough time to look after them. Sarita doesnt have shoes, when asked she told that her father's earning doesnt alllow her to buy even a pair of shoes. Like any other student she wishes to come to school with proper set of shoes. Sushila Rai is a fifth grader studying in Shanti Shikshya Mandir. As per her teacher and gift applicant, MS. Nima Rajbhandari, Sushila is a 13 years old living with her parents in Nayabazzar. She comes from a economically backward family. Her parents work hard to provide the family with their basic need. Her father is the only earning person in the family. He works as a rickshaw puller. So it is not possible for him provide basic needs to his seven members family. Sushila is a hardworking and promising student says her teachers. Sushila is currently in need of a pair of shoes. (Pair of shoes=750)
Parmeshwar Chaudhary is a first grader studying in Sri Tarani NI. Ma. Vi (Makkhan). As per her teacher and gift applicant MS. Deepa Dahal, Parmeshwar is the youngest child of his family. His family originally came from India and is currently residing in Kalimati. Both his parents work hard to provide for their family. His father sells candles whereas his mother packs masalas for a daily income. Even though they work day in and out their incomes is still not enough to fulfill the needs of 4 children. Parmeshwar comes to school in only shirt even on cold winter. He like any other student wants to come to school with a pair of sweater to keep him warm.
(Sweater= Rs 500) Jitendra Thakur is student studying in Sri Tarani NI. Ma. Vi. (Makkkhan). As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Deepa Dahal, Jitendra stays with his parents and 4 siblings. His father is the only bread winner and works as a barber. Sometimes his mother helps in his father’s work. Jitendra is a hard working student and goes to school regularly. Sometimes he needs to take turn in looking after his smaller siblings. Jitendra comes to school but he doesn’t even have a proper set of sweater. Currently he is in need of a sweater so that he can keep himself warm.
(Sweater- Rs 500) Saroj Shaha is a third grader studying in Sri Tarani NI. Ma. Vi. (Makkhan). As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Deepa Dahal, Saroj is a hard working and a diligent student. He stays with his parents at Maruhiti. His father is the only bread winner of the family. Before he worked in sweet shop but now he owns a ‘Paan Pasal’. His father’s income isn’t enough to fulfill the need of his all family members. His parents aren’t able to fulfill even his educational needs. Saroj is currently in need of a proper pair of shoes and a pair of socks.
(Shoes- Rs. 625, Socks- Rs.100) Rupesh Kumar Thakur is a first grader studying in Sri Tarani NI. Ma Vi. As per teacher and gift applicant Ms. Deepa Dahal, Rupesh is originally from Rautahat and came to Kathmandu with his father and is currently staying at his aunt’s house. His father works as a barber and his mother is a housewife and his father’s income isn’t enough to fulfill the family’s need. His admission was done late and he doesn’t even have proper set of clothes. Rupesh like any other student wishes to come to school wearing a sweater.
(Sweater= Rs 500) Sumitra Tamang studies in K.G in Sri Ranidevi Ni. Ma. Vi. (Ranibari). As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms.Shanti Pandey , Sumitra lives with her parents and 6 other family members. Her father, the only bread winner works as a laborer to fulfill the needs of his family. Sumitra likes to help her friends and teacher at school says her teachers. She is also one of the most diligent and obedient student. Sumitra is regular at school but during this cold winter also, she goes to school with only shirt.Seeing her poor economic condition her teacher asks to support her by helping buy her a pair of sweater.
(Sweater= Rs 500) Shiva Hari Siwakoti is a K.G student studying in Sri Ranidevi Ni. Ma. Vi (Ranibari). As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Shanti Pandey, Shiva lives with his mother and other siblings. His mother has to work hard in other people’s house as a maid because his father has remarried and doesn’t help with any of their educational, health or any need whatsoever. Shiva comes to school without a sweater even during the cold winter. Seeing his determination to study his teacher asks our help to support by him a pair of sweater. (Sweater = Rs 500)
MIkhayal Thapa Magar is a third grader studying in Shanti Shikshya Mandir. As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms.Nima Rajbhandari, MIkhaya is nine years old and has been studying in the same school since kindergarten. His father is the only source of income in his family. His mother is physically challenged and isn't able to work outside. She takes care of the house as his father earns a living as a rickshaw puller. He comes from a comparatively poor economic background. His parents aren't able to fulfill his necessities for attending school. Currently Mikhayal is in urgent need of a sweater and a pair of shoes.

Their teachers also say that Deepak and Binita didn’t come to school for many days last year and when they were searched, their teacher found them by the side of the river. The main reason for them not attending school being that they didn't have money to pay for their fees. Seeing their condition the school has planned on giving them free education. Even after all this it’s still difficult for their mother to fulfill the needs of her children. Deepak needs a shirt, a pair of pants and a sweater whereas, Binita just needs a sweater.
2013 Feb: Total required (Deepak’s Rs 1,308 and Binita’s Rs 500) Rs. 1,808 William Krause pledged Rs. 1808 for the gift of two students. Akriti Giri studies in class 3 in Shanti Nikunj Ma. Vi. She lives with her father and mother. Her father works and earns for the family as a driver. Her father’s health condition is very weak and only one of his kidneys is working. Akriti’s mother doesn’t have any substantial work which disables them to fulfill even the basic needs of her. In this cold winter, she is in need of woolen sweater and stockings which will keep her warm, as said by her applicant and teacher Mr. Dinesh Maharjan.

Nirmala Thing studies in class 1 in Kanti Ishwori Rajya Laxmi Ma. Vi. She lives in Dallu with her parents and three sisters. Her father is a shopkeeper and mother works as a tailor. She is a good student and very diligent in her studies. Due to her poor economic conditions, she seldom brings lunch to school. Sometimes she comes to school without having any meal. So, her teacher and applicant, Ms. Geeta Maharjan is looking for a donor to pay for her lunch. (Lunch for a session – Rs. 1750 for 3 months)

As per her teacher and gift applicant Mr. Rupesh Rana, Sarina is a hardworking and obedient student. Sarina was born in a poor family. Her father left home when she was born. Her mother too remarried leaving Sarina alone. Sarina now stays with her aunt. Sarina is a hard working and a diligent student. She shows a keen interest towards her studies, but since she doesn't stay with her parents and her aunt is her only family sarina isn’t quiet able to have her wishes fulfilled. So, seeing her interest towards study her teachers urges to her by helping her provide some stationery.
