Sujan Thapa Magar studies in Sri Adarsha Ni. Ma. Vi (Naxal) as a fifth grader. As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Rukmini Humagain, Sujan is a kind and obedient student of his class. He has 6 members in his family. His parents work as laborers to earn a living. Even though they work day and night, their earning isn’t quite enough to fulfill the needs of 6 members. Sujan comes to school in school uniform but without a proper school shoes. In his response as to why his parents don’t buy him a pair of school shoes, he says that his father is planning to buy him during Dashain. Due to this, Sujan may have to attend school without a proper school shoes which may make him feel out of place. In addition, he doesn't even own a sweater. So, his teacher appeals to help him buy a pair of school shoes and sweater.

Rabindra Deuja is a second grader studying in Nepal Nimukha Balbalika Shikshya Uthan Sansthan (Basundhara). As per his gift applicant and teacher Ms. Keshari Gurung, Rabindra lives with his parents and 6 other family members. His father works as a laborer and is the only bread winner of the family and so the family doesn't have enough money to fulfill even the basic needs.  Rabindra is a hard working student and to encourage him further, his teacher wishes to get him a sweater and a pair of shoes.

Very disciplined and hardworking by nature, Ramesh Yami is a grade two student studying in Nepal Nimukha Balbalika Shikshya Utthan Sanstha. According to his applicant and teacher, Keshari Gurung, he has 4 members in his family. His father left them when he was young. His mother works as a mason. The only bread owner of the family, her mother is unable to satisfy all his basic needs. Ramesh is disciplined student and very studious in his studies. Puja Nepal studies in class 4 in Shanti Sikhshya Mandir, Thahiti. As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms. Nima Rajbhandari, Puja lives with her parents and two brothers and sisters. Her father the only bread winner works as a laborer. As his work is seasonal and doesn’t earn much, her parents aren’t able to fulfill even the family’s basic needs. Puja is a diligent and hardworking student. Her parents’ low income have caused educational problems to her. Puja is not able to attend school during the winter as she doesn’t own any sweater. Kumar Thapa is a fourth grader at Shanti Shikshya Mandir (Thahiti).  His teacher and gift applicant Ms. Nima Rajbhandari. Kumar says he is a brilliant student. Kumar comes from a poor economic background. His father works as street vendor who doesn’t have a stable income and hence, his family’s basic needs aren't met. Kumar, though a bright and brilliant student, does not go to school regularly in winter because he does not have a sweater.  His teacher feels that he would come to school on a regular basis and keep up his good work if he had a sweater.

Laxmi Shahi studies in Shanti Shikshya Mandir, Thaiti as a first grader. As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms. Nima Rajbhandari, Laxmi is counted among the hardworking students of her school. She lives with her parents and her father works as a carpet seller. Her father’s income is not enough to neither feed them nor fulfill the basic necessities of his family.  Laxmi though works hard sometimes she can’t come to school. The main reason being she doesn’t own a sweater  As the winter is getting colder her urges to help by helping buy her a sweater so that she can come to school regularly and fulfill her wish to study.

Abhisekh Harjan is a first grader studying in Tarani Ma. Vi. (Makkhan).  Abhisekh lives with his parents at Makkhan. As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Rewati Sharma, his father, the only bread winner works as a mechanic. Kiran Kumari Sunwar is a fourth grade student in Sri Tarani Vaidhyalaya (Makkhan). She and her two sisters live with their mother and father, who is the sole breadwinner. As a plumber, his wages are too meagre to support the family. And now, with the onset of winter, there is not enough money in the kitty to buy everyone a set of winter clothes. This means Kiran Kumari may be forced to remain at home instead of attending school to shelter from the cold weather. She Is the youngest in her family. Her father is a manual worker and her mother has a small ‘ nanglo’ shop. Krishna Mahato a 3 years-old boy from a poor family is in between life & death. The family of four members where Krishna and his father both have a hole in the heart.  His father works as a labor and earns a monthly wage of Rs. 3500, and his mother, when she finds the time, also works as a labor. Krishna's father, fortunately, was successfully operated 2 years back.  Recently, Krishna has also developed problem of digestion, which requires an immediate operation that costs Rs 100,000.Status: Help directed
