When his mother died from then their economic condition is poor. So its difficult for them to fulfill the needs of his child. He is a very talented student as well as he is hardworking. Dinesh Nepali studies in grade 2 in Shree Adarsha Ni. Ma. Vi. He is only 9 years old. His mother stopped living with him and the only person taking care of him is his father. There are 8 members in his family. His father stitches clothes to fulfill the needs of the entire family. Due to this, they have a very critical condition and it is very difficult to fulfill needs of Dinesh for eduational supplies such as school dress. So her teacher applicant Ms. Rukmini Humagain wishes him to have a proper uniform.

Mandira's school dress is in good condition but her shoes and bag are torn. She is unable to buy these as her mother's income is not sufficient to buy her necessary things. Deepak Magar and Binita Magar are brother and sister studying in Grade 2 and 4 respectively in Sri Adarsha Ni. Ma. Vi. As per their teacher and gift applicant Ms. Rukmini Humagain, they live with their mother and elder brother and sister. Their mother works in a stone quarry as a daily laborer and is the only bread winner of the family. Their elder brother is a drug addict says his teachers. Whereas their eldest sister’s education is supported by an organization. Their mother says that since there is no one to look after the kids, she takes them with her to her workplace. 
Their teachers also say that Deepak and Binita didn’t come to school for many days last year and when they were searched, their teacher found them by the side of the river.  The main reason for them not attending school being that they didn't have money to pay for their fees. Seeing their condition the school has planned on giving them free education. Even after all this it’s still difficult for their mother to fulfill the needs of her children. Deepak needs a shirt, a pair of pants and a sweater whereas, Binita just needs a sweater.

Suman Tolange is sixth grader studying in Sri Adarsha Ni. Ma. Vi. As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms Rukmini Humangain, Suman stays with his parents and two siblings. His mother is on bed rest for the past two years after she had an accident. His family runs solely on his father’s income. His father, the only bread winner, is a drunkard and ill treats his wife. Last Tihar his father beat his mother with pressure cooker. His father works as a laborer but doesn’t earn much causing the family incapability to fulfill their needs.

Alina Shrestha

Alina, a 14 year old, physically handicapped, yet scholastically promising daughter of a single mother,
receives amonthly medical stipend. Fourteen years old Alina has a family of
 four.  They live in rented flat shared with another relative. 

Her mother, a single parent, has a small CD/ Cassette shop in Chettrapati as
the only source of income. Alina has two eldersisters, of whom the eldest
 one has just started to work and the other one has just completed her
 highersecondary education. After Alina’s father passed away, her mother is
 having a tough time keeping up with thebasic necessities, sometimes even
the daily meals.

Alina is a talented girl. She was born with a single kidney and leg, and other
complications. She has beenoperated many a times. An artificial leg has been fitted and she has to go for regular medical check-ups. Alinaloves to study and draw. She has currently finished her 10th grade final exam (SLC) from Small Heaven BoardingSchool, Kathmandu.

Anish Nepali studies as a fourth grader in Sri Adarsha Ni. Ma. Vi (Naxal). As per his teacher and gift applicant Ms. Rukmini Humagain, Anish is one of the obidient and diligent student of the class. Anish has total of 6 members in his family and his father the only bread winner who works as a tailor. Having more number of people to take care of, his father’s income is not quite enough to fulfill all of the family members' needs and requirements. Even in this cold and harsh winter Anish goes to school without any shoes. Very disciplined and hardworking by nature, Ramesh Yami is a grade two student studying in Nepal Nimukha Balbalika Shikshya Utthan Sanstha. According to his applicant and teacher, Keshari Gurung, he has 4 members in his family. His father left them when he was young. His mother works as a mason. The only bread owner of the family, her mother is unable to satisfy all his basic needs. Ramesh is disciplined student and very studious in his studies. Kiran Kumari Sunwar is a fourth grade student in Sri Tarani Vaidhyalaya (Makkhan). She and her two sisters live with their mother and father, who is the sole breadwinner. As a plumber, his wages are too meagre to support the family. And now, with the onset of winter, there is not enough money in the kitty to buy everyone a set of winter clothes. This means Kiran Kumari may be forced to remain at home instead of attending school to shelter from the cold weather. Living only with her father, Renu Mandal a second grader  is a very sincere student who studies in Tarani Primary School (Makkhan) .  As per her applicant Sita Ghimire , she is physically handicapped and goes to school in a wheel-chair. His father is a street vendor who sells ‘Chana Chatpat’: a local street food.  As per her applicant she being a girl child is not looked after properly by her family. Rajiya Khatun studies at Sri Tarani Vidhyalaya (Makkhan) in the second grade. There are five members in her family, including her parents and two brothers. Her father, who works hard as a plumber, is worried about how he will shield his family from the freezing temperatures this winter. He says he doesn’t even have enough money to buy each one a proper set of clothes, let alone woolens, for the approaching cold. Krishna Mahato

Krishna Mahato a 3 years-old boy from a poor family is in between life & death. The family of four members where Krishna and his father both have a hole in the heart.  His father works as a labor and earns a monthly wage of Rs. 3500, and his mother, when she finds the time, also works as a labor. Krishna's father, fortunately, was successfully operated 2 years back.  Recently, Krishna has also developed problem of digestion, which requires an immediate operation that costs Rs 100,000.Status: Help directed

Anisha Nepali is a first grader studying in Kanya Mandir. As per her teacher and gift applicant Mr Sanjeev Dhakal, Anisha is good and hardworking student. Anisha is mainly in need of lunch. Anisha comes from a very poor economic background. Anisha doesn't come to school even with a proper lunch. Anisha has to depend upon her friends even for lunch. A 12 years old girl with a beautiful smile and innocent eyes is Manakamana Shrestha. She studies in grade 3 in Pragati Siksha Sadan, Lalitpur. She is originally from Sindhupalchowk and currently living in Kupandole in a rented room. She lives with her parents and 3 siblings. 
Manakamana loves to read her course books after school. She is good at her studies. Her favorite subject is English. She aims to become a teacher in the future.  
Her favorite game is 'hide and seek'. After school she helps her family members in various activities like cleaning dishes, washing clothes. 
 Status- Manakamana currently receives mid-day meals through KG's Sajha Khaja program.

Sunita Parel is a sixth grader in Sri Arunodhaya Ni. Ma. Vi (Dhoka tol). As per her teacher and gift applicant Ms Anju Subedi, Sunita is a very hardworking and diligent student. She lives with her parents in Maruhiti. Her father has a low paying job in one of the private offices in the valley. According to her teacher Sunita is very well disciplined and friendly. She believes in the beauty of sharing and helps her friends and other students when in need. She is good in her studies but due to her family’s weak economic condition she has trouble coming to school on regular basic. The school committee has been supporting her examination fees. Sunita wants to keep on studying and wants our help to buy herself some books.

Sujan Parel  studies in class two in Tarani Primary School( Makkhan). He lives in Maruhiti with his parents and  two sisters. Due to impoverished condition in Ramechhap, they moved to the capital city for a better life. However, their financial condition is still very weak to afford even the basic needs. Diligent student Sujan is splendid in his studies. Despite this, he isn't able to go to school regularly because its winter and he doesn't have any warm clothes. Seeing this his teacher asks to support him so that he can come to school regularly and keep up with his studies.  Hence, seeing his wish to study Sujann requires a set of warm clothes so that he can come to school regularly even during the chilling winter.
